The food was well prepared and well presented. They have a very diverse menu. My favorite was the salt pepper scallops. I told him to make it their specialty. The hot and sour soup was good but not fantastic.
Overall I would definitely recommend this place. I would have to come back and the staff could not be nicer. Great choice for Upper east side. -

As a lover of Americanized Chinese I couldn't be more happy with this place. I have worked on the UES for 3 years, and let me tell you, finding good Gen Tso's chicken up here has been hard. I finally found what I was looking for!
Perfect balance of breading/binder and chicken meat, perfect balance of white and dark meat. Fried well, sauced well, flavored well. -

Had these guys for take out the other night.
Got the Dan Dan noodles again. They were no where near as spicy and mala as when I had them in store. Oh well.
However the star of the show this time was the poached chicken with chili sesame soy. It did have peppercorn and had very slight mala with it but was not hot spicy. It was surprisingly good despite being a cold appetizer. I highly recommend this dish.
I also decided to try something from their specials list as that is usually the best dishes from a restaurant's chef. Sautéed agrocybe in Szechuan style. This is basically a long and skinny mushroom. The sauce and pork with this dish were good. The mushrooms were interesting. Something that others should try to see if they fall in love with, but this one may be a one and done for me, considering they have so many other interesting specials I want to try.
I forgot how good this place was and ordering delivery did not diminish the quality or experience. -

China Jade is a staple for good, solid, authentic Szechuan food. The flavors are numbing with the right kind of burn. It's true to its roots but there are also items that are more palatable for those who don't want spice.
It's not just good for the neighborhood but it is simply delicious. Rice comes with the entrees which is always appreciated especially when you are looking to regain some feeling in your mouth. The rice here also is pretty tasty and not overcooked. I would skip on the soup dumplings which is just fine. However, their Szechuan dishes will make your mouth really happy.
I was pleasantly surprised with the Singapore curry noodles. The curry flavor was just right and the rice noodles cooked perfectly. None of stuck together and the shrimp was plump.
Prices are on par with all the other places in the city. Nothing overly expensive and the portions will keep you full. Service is friendly and quick. It's one of the go to places for Szechuan. -

Basic chinese takeout and pricey. The woman at the front desk is extremely rude - never says 'thank you' or 'hello', doesn't even look at you while you're ordering, could care less what you think of the food - but she's very quick to take your credit card.
